Ocean Grove Forever 150th Anniversary
A grove of trees surrounded by two lakes and the Atlantic Ocean was discovered in May, 1869 by a group of Methodist ministers, who inspired others to clear the land, pitch tents and form a community. The development of permanent buildings and year round cottages provided a place for people to practice the rituals of Christianity and worship Jesus Christ. In 1894, the Great Auditorium was constructed, which presently seats an audience of 6,250. By now, you must know I am talking about the unique and Victorian inspired town of Ocean Grove.
