Our pets are family pure and simple.  They love us unconditionally and we love them back. It is unimaginable to think about them being lost and trying to find their way home but that is the situation for a family in Sea Bright and they are hoping you can help.

Maggie is a sweet 17-year-old Markie that went missing almost two weeks ago and her family is desperately searching for her.  Maggie ran off their property, got confused, and has been lost ever since.

There was a glimmer of hope when she was spotted on a surveillance camera on January 14th, someone tried to coax her near and then grab her but she ran away again.

Maggie was last seen on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright so if you are in the area keep your eyes open for her.  Maggie is chipped and the family has hired a dog tracker to help with the search.  The Rooney family is asking the community for their help as well and there is a reward.  They are offering $1,000 for the safe return of Maggie and since the family owns Stoakers Deli & Subs the reward also includes 17 free lunches, one meal for every one of the years they had Maggie.

Maggie’s mom says,

“We’ve been reaching out to shelters, doctors, rescues-everybody that we can think of.”

Maggie has a little sister that does not know what to do without her and has been clearly uneasy since her going missing.
