An exclusive vault recording of Prince's 1987 Sign O' The Times New Year's Eve benefit show will premiere tonight at 8PM ET on his official YouTube channel.

The Paisley Park gig, which raised money for the Minnesota Homeless Coalition, took place Dec. 31, 1987 — the final performance of his Sign O' The Times Tour. Among the highlights is a guest spot from legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, marking their first and only time sharing the stage.

The set, known by many aficionados through bootleg tapes and recordings, will make its official global debut stream via the Prince Estate. Ahead of the premiere, noted fan Maya Rudolph will host a virtual pre-show chat featuring several Sign O' The Times-era Prince alumni, including vocalist Susannah Melvoin, keyboardist Dr. Fink, saxophonist Eric Leeds and bassist Levi Seacer Jr.

Following the show will be an after-party featuring various sets by DJ Rashida, Natasha Diggs, D-Nice, Moodymann, DJ Spinna and more.

The event precedes the expanded Sign O' the Times reissue, available Friday on all physical, digital and streaming platforms. The package marks the first remaster of the 1987 double album; the Super Deluxe Edition compiles 63 previously unheard tracks and more previously unseen concert footage.

In 1986, Prince detailed the energy and overall vibe within his band at that time, telling Ebony Magazine, "I feel that we’re on the brink of something. It is going to be strict and wild and pretty." His assessment — the New Year's Eve show included — was spot on.
