People use Facebook to profess their love. They also use it to complain about their significant other.

Here are some "rules" from YourTango.com when it comes to Facebook and relationships:

1. Don't put up that you are "In a Relationship" on Facebook before six months of dating. You don't need to let the whole world know yet. You can put up photos and write on his wall to show that you are together, but hold off on changing your status.

2. Definitely don't use Facebook to break up. This is wrong, wrong, WRONG! Do not break up via Facebook or change your status to tell someone that you are over the relationship.

3. It's NOT complicated. The "It's Complicated" relationship status is not helping anything. You will only get questions. Keep all that info off Facebook.

4. Single needs time. Yeah, you may have broken up, but wait roughly a month before putting "Single" as your relationship status. If you want to tell someone you are now single, send them a private message.

5. Feel free to delete. You can un-friend your ex if you find that you are going to stalk him. Take away the urge to check up on him too much.
