When you walk into Sam's Club, you have to flash your membership card to the person working at the front door to get in, however, that could soon be a thing of the past.

I was just at Sam's Club yesterday, and the membership card gets me every time.

I always have to stop and dig through my purse to find my card buried in my wallet.

That's why I would be a huge fan of a digital membership card, although some people are not happy about it.

There's been a lot of talk online recently about how Sam's Club is moving away from membership cards.

According to a report from TheStreet.com, Sam's Club is encouraging members to no longer use a physical card, but instead have them use the app to cut down on membership sharing.

To get in, you would scan your phone to prove you're a member.

The Sam's Club website says, "You have instant access to your digital membership card as soon as you join. It’s in the Sam’s Club app, so there’s no need for a physical card to start shopping."

According to the Sam's Club website, "If you’d still like a physical card, you can request one at the Member Service Desk during your next club visit. You’ll need your membership number and a government-issued ID to pick up your card."

You can still use your regular membership card at the Sam's Club I go to, but using a digital membership would be so much easier!
