8 Injured In Freehold School Bus Accident

A school bus and car collided Tuesday morning on Route 79 in Freehold.

The school district says bus #137, carrying 37 students, was rear-ended by a vehicle on Route 79 near the entrance to the Freehold Regional High School student parking lot driven by Manalapan High School students.

8 students were treated for minor injuries at CentraState; six have been discharged.

The bus was easily moved off to the side.

Freehold Police continue to investigate the accident.
