I hope you don’t think this event is just for seniors…there is something for everyone this Sunday (9/16) as the Freehold Borough Human Relations Committee presents Senior Appreciation Day in the Hall of Records Parking Lot in Downtown Freehold from noon ‘til 4 p.m.

If you are thinking of giving a sheltered pet their forever home, the Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls will be hosting pet adoptions at the event.  I always like to check out the classic cars from the Freehold Kruisers, who will be showcasing their vintage vehicles.  You will also have a chance to meet NJ author, Stacey Wilk and receive an autographed copy of her literary works. There are also plenty of activities for kid including Giant Jenga, Connect Four, Corn Hole, Chess, Checkers and a photo booth for some fun pix, courtesy of BoomEventSource.com.

You’ll be entertained by Asbury Park’s Lakehouse Music Academy Pros, “Ocean 5” and “fountain of youth.” These kids are amazing!  The Point’s Tommy Lynch is going to emcee the event and spin some classic tunes.  If you’re feeling lucky, you can win one of the many prizes from local businesses including two seats to ArteVino Studio of Freehold, $65 gift card to Jersey Mike’s Subs, $100 gift card to Jemm Optical and $25 gift cards to Court Jester, Federici’s, Jersey Freeze, Sam’s Club, All Season’s Diner and many more. A bouquet of flowers is nice, but a bouquet of money and NJ Lottery tickets is even better, courtesy of A.J. Dell’Omo, Inc., Realtors.

You will also be able to access important information from CentraState Health & Wellness, Falls Free Coalition of NJ, Urgent Care of Manalapan, Merrill Lynch of Red Bank, Monmouth County Office on Aging & Disabilities and the Monmouth County Sheriff will be issuing Veteran’s cards and IDs. Local vendors will be selling unique items and be sure to bring your appetite for the Our House Restaurant food truck. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with a variety of homemade baked goods and store up on Trappers Honey for your winter baking.
