We all know that New Jersey is pretty jam packed. It's hard to believe that there is such a thing as a "tiny town" in NJ, but there is. In fact, the tiniest is right here in Monmouth County.

Based on area, Shrewsbury Township is the smallest town in the Garden state.

Different than Shrewsbury Borough, the Township is less than a square mile in size. 0.097 miles to be exact. It's hard to believe that the population of that small space is 1,141!

According to NJ Advanced Media, Shrewsbury Borough is 23 times the size of the Township. Also, they share a Municipal Court with Red Bank, the State Police cover their town and there's only one corner store for the 1,000+ residents.

There are other tiny towns in Monmouth that made the top 10 list.

Loch Arbour is 0.11 in size and is home to 194 residents who have an average property tax bill of $21,123.
