Millions take to the Parkway during the summer and it can be busy as we all know. I will be honest and say so far this summer I have not seen crazy traffic on the Garden State Parkway. This can be good for your commuting, but could it mean fewer vacationers are visiting New Jersey this summer?

We wanted to see how you at home are feeling when it comes to travel on one of the state's busiest roadways, the Garden State Parkway? Let's give the GSP a "mid-summer" report card and see how you grade the roadway. Take a quick moment to click your choice and give the Parkway your grade.

It still seems that the two most challenging times during the week, during summer, on the Garden State Parkway continue to be Friday nights with visitors coming to Jersey for the weekend and Sunday afternoons with drivers heading back home.

My grade for the Garden State Parkway for the summer of 2022 is a B-. Do you think I'm being too generous or do you agree? I just find traffic to be moving pretty good even on those hard-to-drive times. EZ has made tolls much easier to flow through and construction seems, for the most part, to occur during off-peak hours. All of these factors for me are why I'll go with a B-.

Thanks for taking part in our survey and we'll discuss this on The Morning Show with Shawn & Sue.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
