How To Own St. Patrick’s Day At The Jersey Shore

Need a little more Irish in your March?  Thursday night, Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten in Asbury Park host an Irish Whiskey Tasting paired with their delicious potato pancakes to help you get your Irish on.  

Irish Pub Crawl happens in Downtown Freehold this Thursday, the ultimate Happy Hour with stops at the American Hotel, Federici’s, the Court Jester and the Metropolitan Café.  Patrons will be serenaded by the sound of bagpipers as you can choose from an exclusive beer or scotch tasting. 8 – 10 PM.

Pizza and Penguins for the little ones at Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Pleasant this Friday.  Penguins make an appearance while you enjoy pizza and drinks.  Learn all about them, ask their keepers questions, and meet Perky the Penguin.  6 to 7:30 PM

Bagpipers from the Freehold Ancient Order of Hibernian’s Division fill the air of Downtown Freehold with traditional Irish Music on Friday, March 15^th from 8 to 10 PM.

Robert J Novins Planetarium in Toms River hosts several St. Patrick’s Day PJ Party Shows:  The Science of Rainbows Saturday, March 16^th.  Ages 5 and under at 12:30 and 1 PM.  For astronomers 6 and older, 1:30 and 2 PM shows are available.

Saturday, March 16^th The Historic Village at Allaire hosts an 1830s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with live Irish music, Irish dancing, cooking demonstrations of traditional Irish fare, green ale tasting, children’s crafts and more.  11 AM to 4 PM.

Sunday, March 17^th Bradley Brew Project celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with new beers, music and Irish fun.  1 – 7 PM

Freehold St. Patrick’s Day Parade happens Sunday, on St. Patrick’s Day this year, stepping off on McLean Street, to the Elk’s Lodge at 1 PM.

Murphy’s Celtic Legacy: Irish Dance Reborn happens at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank at 4 PM on St. Patrick’s Day.
