Employees of the Super Foodtown in Toms River were notified Monday that the store would be closing its doors June 20.

Food Circus Super Markets cited "economic reasons" for the closing, but many saw this coming for many reasons.

I live in Toms River and I would rarely go to that Foodtown not only because of very close better options, but because it always was in horrible shape. The facility was never really taken care of.

After word that Super Shoprite was going to open across the street, it was only a matter of time before this news came down.

Hopefully Wal-Mart, Aldi and Shop Rite will be offer positions to the people who will be losing their jobs due to the shut down.

The next question...what will be taking the supermarket's place?
