
Suspect Confesses to Fatal Hit and Run of Lakewood Boy
A Lakewood man faces seven years in prison for a hit and run accident that claimed the life of a township boy in December.

Jesus Arellano-Carmoni pleaded guilty Monday at the Ocean County Courthouse in Toms River to knowingly striking 12-year-old Edward Juarez with his vehicle and leaving the scene of the accident according to the Asbury Park Press.

The Middle School Student was walking home with his brother and a friend on Clover Street when the incident occurred on December 16.
Police caught up with Arellano-Carmoni the day before Christmas after after canvassing the area.
Prosecutors will recommend that Arellano-Carmoni get a seven year prison term when sentenced on May 25th.
