The horse racing season is underway at Monmouth Park Racetrack and after opening day ceremonies on Saturday, it's time for a special Mother's Day celebration.

The Classic Car Show boasts over 150 classic cars that are parked throughout the sprawling area in the back of the final stretch.

Mayors in New Jersey say the recent fireworks law change may be to blame for the explosion in illegal fireworks displays.

The lockdown also temporarily interrupted primary day voting at Asbury Park High School.

I know you are not going to like this announcement but I think I know why this rule is being added...and it's for a good reason.

I've only been to one wine festival and it was a total disaster. I was a student at West Virginia University and I went to the West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival. Don't get me wrong, the event was a great time but oh sweet Jesus, the headache I had later that night was miserable. Instead of drinking out of a wine glass, I was drinking out of my own bottle. Let's just say, my college experience was a blast but I also was a total moron!

Hanging over opening day is the threat of a boycott by jockeys over New Jersey's new policy prohibiting jockeys from using their whip or riding crop on a horse during a race or while exercising.
