Prioritizing Rest Over Travel: Is There A Shift in PTO Use In New Jersey?
If you're constantly exhausted from juggling work, errands, and everyday life, you are certainly not alone.
These days, weekends just aren't enough time to recharge.
With the constant feeling of running on fumes, day in and day out, more and more people are rethinking how they use their paid time off.

The Shift In PTO Use
It used to be that people saved their vacation days for a big trip or maybe a relaxing staycation, but a recent survey from Amerisleep.com reveals a big shift.
More and more Americans are now using their time off not for a big adventure, but rather to reset and recover from the daily grind.
Just your daily commute alone can take its toll, and then you add in everything else, and it can be exhausting.

A Growing Number Of Workers Crave Rest Over Vacations
The survey found that nearly 37 percent of those polled used PTO days in the past year to simply rest.
“People often crave this unattainable work/life balance complex where many Americans are using time off just to catch-up on rest,” Kevin Thompson, CEO of 9i Capital Group and host of the 9innings podcast, told Newsweek. “With the demands of children, extended family, and daily social engagement, it stands to reason that many are looking for a respite to recharge the life battery wherever they can.”
According to the survey, many are finding it takes more than just one day to catch up on some rest, with many needing two or even three days instead.
