Target Rewarding Ocean County, NJ Store Employees for Working During the Pandemic
Retail employees are part of the many frontline workers who are risking their health daily during this pandemic.
How cool is this - Target is recognizing the hard work of their employees, by giving them bonuses for working during the pandemic, according to RLS Media. Check out the statement from Target that was also featured in the article:
"To show our gratitude as we wrap a year unlike any other, Target is giving $500 bonuses to all hourly team members in stores, distribution centers and our headquarters and field-based offices. Also, all Store Directors, Executive Team Leaders and salaried Distribution Center leaders (12,000 in total) will receive a bonus ranging from $1,000-$2,000.
This was a companywide announcement, so that means Target employees here in Ocean County (Toms River, Brick, Manahawkin) will be part of this bonus. I think it's great that Target is not afraid to show support for their employees by giving a little extra.
These are local people who are opening themselves up to the public in the middle of a pandemic, to help make sure we can get the necessities we need. Many of them go home to families after work and have to take extra precautions to make sure they're not bringing Covid-19 into their homes. Good on Target for recognizing that!
Do you know of any other companies who are giving employees extra money for being on the frontlines during the pandemic?
