Back in May, we told you about an incredible house that was on the market for $14.7 million, making it the most expensive listing in the there's a new listing that makes that price tag seem like a steal!

The Grand Chateau at 1129 Ocean Ave., also known as Belle Mer, is a 14,000+ square foot mansion right on the ocean in the Elberon section of Long Branch. It has 10 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and 2 half bathrooms, with two detached garages to fit 4 cars.

Of course there are the other standard amenities for a home like room, wet bar, maid's quarters...and of course, there's also an oceanfront pool, and not one, but two cabana pool houses, with access to a private beach.

The price tag? A cool $40 million.

That puts the estimated mortgage payments at $145,576. Per month. Let THAT sink in for a minute.

The property tax estimate? $8.1 MILLION.

That seems...unnecessary. Don't rich folk know that if they want to burn money, there are plenty of us who will take it off their hands for them? Also, I stand behind my earlier comments on the furniture in houses like this.
