A very well know supermarket, best know for their specialties has closed their Freehold location leaving people in shock.

Top Tomato, best known in Staten Island with their four locations and on in Brick had to shut the doors to their 30,000 square foot space in Freehold.

Anthony Sciandra, one of the family owners of the stores, told the APP that the Freehold shutdown happened because the space was too big. Also because his father Salvatore is looking to retire soon.

Top Tomato gave this response on their official Facebook page after being questioned by a costumer.

Customers were still disappointed by the news leaving comments like:

Why is the Freehold closed???? So upset!

Sciandra added that if the right location were to become available in Freehold, they would consider opening a new location.
