Victim had bullet fragment in his face following shooting in Berkeley Township
The Ocean County Prosecutors Office and Berkeley Township Police are investigating a Monday night shooting in Manitou Park that left a man with a bullet fragment in his face, Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and Police Chief Karin DiMichele announced in a joint statement Tuesday.
The 29-year old victim was treated at Community Medical Center and later released.
As for the shooting, police responded to Third Avenue Manitou Park on Monday around 3:00 pm where they found the victim.
It's not known who fired the shots or why at this point.
