When Will Netflix Open Its Monmouth County Studios?

Fort Monmouth Groundbreaking Ceremony

Netflix broke ground on its $1 billion studio at the former 292-acre Fort Monmouth property in May 2025. The streamer is expected to complete the first phase of construction in the summer 2027 and the final phase in the fall 2028.

New Jersey has seen a surge in productions filming around the Garden State, as well as investment in the industry, according to Backstage. Netflix has already filmed more than 20 productions around the state ahead of the studio completion.
