Volunteers Needed for Breast Cancer Walk in Point Beach
On Saturday, I was out with the Point Crew helping to 'Pink Out the Plaza' with Immediate Care Medical Walk-in and Kazia's Asian Grab 'N Go in Hazlet to benefit the American Cancer Society and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Even if you missed the event, there's a way for you to help this week!
Coming up this Sunday, October 18th is the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Point Pleasant Beach.
So far, participating walkers have raised more than $380,000 for the American Cancer Society! They are still accepting walkers (and donations) so be sure to sign up and/or donate by clicking HERE!
More importantly, they need volunteers for the walk to help everything go smoothly. If you are available to help out on Sunday morning, (they need people from 7 a.m.- noon, even if you can just spare a couple of hours) you are asked to fill out the volunteer application form and submit it to Volunteer Coordinator Clifford High at clifford.high@cancer.org. (You can get the form HERE.)
Registration starts at 8 a.m. in the area of Arnold and Ocean Aves. The walk kicks off at 10 a.m., rain or shine!
