Wall woman charged with attempted murder after hitting teen with a car
Hitting someone intentionally with her car leads to attempted murder charges for a Wall Township woman.
Monmouth County Prosecutors say an alleged dispute between Vicky L. Smith, 52, and her family with the juvenile was a prelude to the incident near Central and First Avenues in Wall on Monday night around 7:38 pm.
Smith faces first degree Attempted Murder, third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon after hitting a juvenile with her vehicle.
The juvenile was taken to Jersey Shore Medical University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was later released.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
