Warning: Police Urging Residents to Lock Their Doors by 9pm

Law enforcement officials are urging residents to lock up by 9 p.m.

Several New Jersey police departments, including Denville are participating in the #9PMRoutine.

There have been a string of car thefts in our area, specifically between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m., simply because owners failed to lock their vehicles.

So far in 2018, 305 guns have been stolen from unlocked cars.

Officials are suggesting that you set a reminder or alarm on your phone at 9 p.m. to make sure that your property is safely locked away.
