We've seen many of these videos on social, and YouTube, but when this kind of thing happens in your backyard, it's just more special.

Remember when we were dragged into boring assemblies (and fell asleep through most of them?)

Maggie Angrosina of Veterans Memorial Middle School in Brick and her classmates filed into the auditorium for what they thought was going to be an awards ceremony for academic achievement.

The "winner" was Maggie, and her prize - a surprise visit from her brother Matthew who had been away for eleven months serving in the Army. The reaction will give you the feels.

U.S. Army Spec. Matthew Angrosina found out that he was going to be able to return home for a visit, and told only his parents. The three decided to surprise Matthew's little sis Maggie, and his brother Michael who attends Brick Memorial.

Maggie told Patch that she thought when she got called up for her award that the Brick Memorial Mustang mascot was going to be behind the curtain. Luckily, it was 100 times better.

Shoutout to the principals and staff at Veterans Memorial Middle School for making this happen, and thank you Matthew Angrosina for your service to our Country.
