We’re Losing Another Beloved Store in Our Area

Stein Mart, with locations in Ocean Township and Holmdel, is beginning to liquidate.

Calling itself another Covid-19 victim, this store, loved by so many at the Jersey Shore, has actually been around for over a hundred years in other parts of the country.

I remember years ago when the Ocean Township location of Stein Mart had its grand opening and the store has been successful ever since, with so many of my friends finding great buys there on clothing, pocketbooks, shoes, and all kinds of brand names in fashion and home decor at great prices.

Although they tried to regroup, that's now no longer and option. So you will begin seeing some great deals as they begin selling off their inventory at discounted prices.

It looks like most of the stores will close by the end of this year.

Their Facebook page says their Going Out of Business Sale could get you 30% off the lowest ticketed prices (on in-store purchases)...so you might find yourself some amazing stuff if you get there quickly...because you won't be alone in wanting to shop there while you can.

Some of the comments I have read on social media confirm that we are NOT happy about this loss:

"This is terrible! Quality clothes and jewelry for reasonable price. Very sad."

And,

"This is heartbreaking! One of the last organized department stores. Will miss Stein Mart!"
