This wonderful nonprofit has been delivering lunches for Wall Township students as they school from home.

WHIP stands for Wall Helps Its People. This non-profit helps Wall residents in times of crisis. Right now WHIP is working with the Wall Board of Education to make sure that students who were on the reduced-lunch plan still get food while doing their schooling online from home.

Wall Township Board of Education President Ralph Addonizio is a Trustee on WHIP. His wife, Hillary, is the WHIP President and a second grade teacher in Wall. WHIP has the support of plenty of wonderful volunteers from around the community who have been helping deliver school lunches for the Wall school district students in need during this crisis. Ralph says, "The real brains and passion behind WHIP is Hillary. The organization wouldn't be as strong as it is without her caring and dedication. As a teacher, caring is in her DNA."

I spoke with a volunteer who delivered lunches to 8 families last week, and was heading back again to do it this week. She says "People need to hear and read about some good news amidst this pandemic." I couldn't agree more.

Thanks to ALL of the volunteers around the Jersey Shore who are uniting and helping out in ways big and small without any fanfare.

WHIP has also come to the rescue of Wall Township residents, families and veterans with financial aid for those who are having difficulties with things such as medical bills, a house fire, gas/electric bills and food. For more info on WHIP CLICK HERE and HERE.
