X Factor Gets Second Season

Simon Cowell announced on last night's X Factor that they have been picked up for a second season. I was pretty surprised that it was even in question. Fox has put so much behind the show and Simon is...well...Simon, so I would have thought the original deal was a long term deal.

 Regardless, this is awesome news. I have never seen so many talented competitors at once on one show, and I've seen every season of Idol. Simon and the gang have put together a very entertaining show with some of the best singers around, so, even though they're only drawing about half the audience that Idol has historically received, this was a no brainer for Fox.
