A Fun Twist On Holiday Decor

Have you turned your Christmas tree into a Valentine's Day tree yet?

Instead of taking the tree down after the holidays, many like to give it a festive makeover, taking down the Christmas ornaments and replacing them with pink hearts and red lights.

It's a tree full of love, and in my casual, unscientific survey, I found many people think it's a great idea, and some have been doing this for years.

Unfortunately, I don't have an artificial tree, and there's no way a real tree would last this long, but I think it's such a cute idea, and it got me thinking, what other seasonal decor around the house can you leave up all year?

Fresh Ideas For Keeping Festive Decor All Year Long

Design experts say certain decorations can stay up year-round. Those are the decorations you get the most out of since you can keep them up longer and enjoy them well past the holidays.

Wreaths - A simple, rustic wreath on your front door can last all winter long, and then add some flowers for spring and summer.

Potted greenery and branches - Experts recommend dried flowers or loose branches that can stay up all year.

Pre-lit trees - This is my favorite recommendation. I love pre-lit trees. The white lights add a nice ambiance to any room.

Candles - Even if you don't light them during the warmer months, they still add a nice touch. Not a bad idea if you're looking to keep the holiday cheer all year.
