The pizza at Zoni's Brooklyn Brick Coal Fired Pizza was recently featured on Bar Stool Pizza with David Portnoy, and I have to tell you — it tastes like it is made with love and care.
The coal fired oven brings Zoni's to the next level by delivering thin, crispy and flavorful pizza. I got to test out Zoni's myself for dinner and by the end of the meal, I felt so full that I was going to explode ... but I kept eating because if I didn't, I knew I would regret it.

My personal pizza favorite is the Princess Margherita Pie, which has vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, EVOO and Pecorino Romano. It is the perfect blend of flavors, and I literally pushed this pizza through my face because I couldn't get enough.

Another stand-out menu item was their Coal Fired Wings. These wings are made in their coal-fired oven which means that they are NOT fried, and the unique flavor was to die for. Unlike any other wings I've tried, these wings are marinated in lemon, fresh rosemary and fresh garlic. The caramelized onions served on the side are beyond delicious, and let me tell you ... the plate was licked clean.
Zoni's owner, Rob Brooklyn, not only makes good food but cares about the people who walk through his front door. While I was in his restaurant, I saw him interact with various customers and he knew all of them by name, remembered their kids' names and proved that his customer service really is top-notch. No one does it better than him.
But don't take my word for it. Head out to eat at 287 State Route 35, Red Bank, NJ 07701, and check them out online at zoniscoalfiredpizza.com.
