There’s a reason Oprah is so rich: She knows how to sell just about anything. Her upcoming episode of ‘Oprah: The Next Chapter’ with Rihanna is no exception, as the teasers keep getting juicier and juicier. In a new set of clips, we actually see the ‘Hard’ singer sobbing before breaking into giggles and making fun of herself, saying, “I’m gonna look so soft!”
What topic made her bust out the waterworks? Take a wild guess.
“I came away getting a great sense of who she was.”
Oprah admits that she had her own ideas about Rihanna before she chatted her up for her new show, ‘Oprah: The Next Chapter.’ “I went there with my own ideas about who she was from watching her videos and listening to her music,” the talk show queen said. “I thought she was gonna be kind of a bada–, a kind of hard edged, rocker, pop woman.” So was she right?
Alicia Keys has always been independent and done her own thing, but now she’s asking fans to help with her campaign for ‘A New Day.’ (We thought it was just ‘New Day,’ but she says ‘A New Day’ — and she’s the one who wrote it!) The singer is launching an interactive Instagram campaign for a special video for the new track.
Teens get a bad rap as being a pretty angsty, hormonal bunch — but they’re also smart, fun and kind of awesome, so it only makes sense that the 2012 Teen Choice Awards followed suit. With nominations for everyone from Justin Bieber to Nicki Minaj to Zooey Deschanel, some frontrunners are predictable: Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and hostess with the mostess Demi Lovato are favorites for all of their categories, though for some of them they’re actually competing against one another!
The 2012 Teen Choice Awards brought out a pretty fashionable bunch. Hostess with the mostess Demi Lovato rocked a futuristic, super long blonde ponytail — gone are her blue and green (once pink) tips! It was a huge night for Lovato, as she wasn’t just co-hosting with ‘Glee‘ star Kevin McHale, she was also up for a few awards of her own. You go, Demz!
Even though it hasn’t even been confirmed that Jennifer Lopez is leaving ‘American Idol,’ as soon as rumors hit, so did whispers of who’d fill her high-heeled shoes. Adam Lambert was reported to be heavily considered for the judging spot, and with good reason — he’s one of the most successful ‘Idol’ alumni the show’s ever had. So what does Lambert have to say about the rumors?
