It's been amazing to see communities come together in times of need and as we restore the shore. But, the aid is not only coming from your neighbors, friends and family, but from complete strangers from all over the country. Some were sent here as part of their jobs, some were just compelled to help. Regardless, we appreciate everyone's support. Here are just some examples of folks going above and beyond to help us out.
We have been inundated by the images of destruction left behind by Sandy. The sights are sobering, shocking and quite frankly, depressing. In a time like this, positive thinking is key. Instead of sharing the shots of devastation, share this collection with your friends and family. Let's remember the Jersey Shore and look forward to the Jersey Shore that will be rebuilt in the future.
Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden has joined us each morning since the day before Sandy to keep us updated on the very latest on the aftermath of Sandy. Sheriff Golden has been touring some of the devastation and shared some photos with us and we wanted to share them with you.

One of our new favorite things about Halloween is funny, candid pictures of people being scared senseless in a haunted house. We had to ask ourselves though, what were they seeing that was so scary? We put our heads together, and we think we've figured it out. Here are our guesses at what was so scary in that haunted house. Because it certainly wasn't a guy in a wolf mask jumping out of nowhere.
Wheelchair-bound little tykes such as our favorite ice cream trucker Carter might not be jumping a broomstick this Halloween season, because this just in: TIE fighters get more candy.
Carter has spina bifida, a birth defect which affects the spinal canal. Because of his condition, the youngster uses a wheelchair.
Being stuck in a chair is obviously going to be tough on a kid. However, last Halloween Carter's dad used his son's wheels to their advantage in crafting a pretty awesome costume.
