On the morning show today, Liz was talking about how there are coaches now available to help get your kids to eat their vegetables, for a fee, of course. But here's some free advice we found.

The people at summertomato.com have compiled a list of ways you can get your kids to eat their broccoli, carrots and asparagus, and some of them sound fun. Speaking of fun, it's easy to say "make eating vegetables fun", but not so easy to do it.

One way it might work is to create a story line for young kids. The article suggest something like " he is a dinosaur who needs to eat five miniature trees in order to outrun a tyrannosaurus rex." Hey, I'm a grown up, but if a little broccoli will help me outrun a T-rex, count me in.

And I thought this was really interesting. Experts say kids need to be exposed to a food 8-10 times before they start liking it, so many parents use the "one bite rule", insisting the kids take at least one bite of the food they're trying to avoid, with the concept being that after several "one bites" they will acquire a taste for the food on their own.

If you want to check out all the suggestions, see them at summertomato.com.
