There are some very helpful events taking place in Monmouth County on the second anniversary of the Superstorm. If you know someone still in need of help, or if you'd like to volunteer to help rebuild, here are some great links.

-- The Hurricane Sandy Two Year Anniversary Resource Fair will take place Oct. 29th, 2014, from 3 pm - 7 pm, at the Port Monmouth VFW, 1 Veterans Lane, Port Monmouth. This is an opportunity for those in need of Sandy-related assistance to meet with representatives from many organizations that can provide help in all aspects of recovery from case management and mental health resources to financial and legal advice to  construction assistance. -- Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build 2014, Oct. 29 - Nov. 1, 2014. Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County will be in the Bayshore area helping complete construction projects in their ongoing recovery effort. You can volunteer and get involved by CLICKING HERE.

-- Governor Christie will be in Belmar Oct. 29th, 2014, 2:30 pm, for a Main Street Walk starting at 5th and Main, followed by a Press Conference at 9th and Main in Pyanoe Plaza.

-- "The State of NJ's Health: Living in Sandy's Shadow" will air on NJTV at 8 pm On Oct. 29th, 2014 (and again on Oct. 31st at 2 am). This program will include contact information for a dozen or so agencies that are offering mental health support to Sandy survivors. CLICK HERE for more info.
