Ahhhh to be a cat, cozy and comfy on the couch taking a nap. Well... It turns out that napping is really good for you!

Sometimes I look at my fluffy cat all curled up on a furry pillow....warm and purring and rolled over...and I think --- I wanna nap like that in the middle of the day!

Well, unless you are one of those very lucky people that can fall asleep and STAY ASLEEP for 7 - 8 hours each and every night (no getting up to use the bathroom or walk the dog), you should be napping!

There are many reasons and research behind this, according to Dr. Carol Ash, the Director of Sleep Medicine for Meridian Health, but the bottom line is that you should be sleeping 7 - 8 hours a night for optimum health. And you SHOULD be able to sleep through the night. If you aren't, there could be many reasons that should be looked at.

Because, to put it simply, not getting a full night's sleep each night can lead to many health disorders.

The good news is that if you can grab a nap every day, it can go a long way to help the fact that you aren't getting enough sleep at night.

Dr. Ash says the ideal nap is about 40 minutes....NO LONGER than that.

So go ahead and curl up on a pillow and GET SOME SLEEP!!!
