Monmouth-Ocean Towns Top List of Heroin Abuse

Drug abuse in Monmouth and Ocean counties continues to grow at alarming rates. Two locations in Mon-Oc ranked in the top 10 for heroin abuse in New Jersey. 

In Ocean County, the number of overdoses doubled from 2012 to 2013. According to the Division of Addiction Services in the New Jersey Department of Human Services these are the towns in Monmouth and Ocean that rank in the top 25 for heroin abuse.

• 14. Jackson
• 15. Middletown
• 19. Asbury Park
• 20. Howell
• 23. Keansburg
