When I heard two feet of snow could be coming our way, I packed my stuff, and had every intention of sleeping at the radio station last night (hoping I could snag a couch instead of a piece of floor.)

But when the Powers That Be here at Townsquare Media told a few of us they had scored some rooms at a B&B just a half mile away, well, who would turn that down?

That B&B is 600 Main, in the historic Mathis house on Main St. in Toms River. You walk in, and are immediately transported to the Victoria era.

(Dudes, just as a heads up, this place would be AWESOME for a romantic Valentine's Day getaway!)

It just so happened that the generous gents we work with let the five ladies take the rooms at the B&B. (Thanks guys!) My fellow midday DJ Barbara LaRue from 105.7 the Hawk and I got over there at about 4 p.m. yesterday.

The owner Susan greeted us at the door, welcomed us in, and brought our bags upstairs to our rooms. The place is absolutely beautiful.

Barbara and I lucked out on getting first pick of rooms, and my spoiled behind got the Queen Alexa suite!

Each room has its own private bathroom, TV, spa robe...it felt like a mini vacation.

Barbara and I spent a few hours chatting with Susan, enjoying some girl talk, (and a glass of wine) and meeting the other owner, Susan's husband John, and the adorable house guard dog Tobie!

600 Main also serves as a Victorian tea room, serving a traditional Afternoon Tea. (How's THAT for something fun to do with the girls, or even as a bridal shower!)

It's hard to believe that I drove past this house so many times on my way to work and had NO idea what was inside!

We eventually went up to our rooms at about 8, mostly because I wanted to check in with Duzzy. Point News morning reporter Dianne DeOliveira arrived around 8:30, followed by Megan Madison and Rosetta Key after their shifts were done at around 10:30.

It was a fairly relaxing evening, and I figured I'd be waking up to a foot of snow...but like everyone else, I woke up confused...

(Hey, at least cleaning off the car won't be so bad!)

Regardless, I got dressed, and at about 8:30 a.m. Barbara, Rosetta, and I headed downstairs for some coffee and to check out the scene. We spent some more time chatting with Susan (who served me a delicious plate of homemade quiche with a tomato and mixed green salad) and then it was time to head back to work.

On the way out, Susan offered me a bag filled with homemade scones with lemon curd and clotted cream. (Yesssss.)

I am officially the most spoiled radio DJ EVER. (And I'm kind of hoping we get another chance to stay at 600 Main. Thank you Susan and John for taking us in!!)
