The New York Giants football organization has donated $500,000 to Sandy relief, according to northjersey.com. The money will be split between New York and New Jersey, with the money going to both the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City.

Everyone is stepping up to help in the effort to assist all affected by this superstorm, which certainly brings some level of comfort to those in need. But there is something special about having your favorite team, the team you root for and cry over, the team you spend lots of money on, be there in our community's time of need.

And now with the arrival of the Nor'easter, who knows how much additional help we'll need. Thanks to the New York Giants organization from all your fans!
