The disgrace of an individual who stole a children's charity donation jar in Jackson earlier this week has been identified by police and arrested.

He is 24-year-old James Leidner of Red Bank, and NJ.com reports he turned himself into Jackson Police yesterday.

The Juvenile Diabetes Resarch Fund donation jar Leidner stole on Sunday night from the Wawa on Washington St. reportedly contained about $100 in loose change.

Leidner was charged with theft, with bail set at $1,000 with a 10% cash option.

(Let's do that math. He stole $100 bucks, then paid $100 to get out of jail. Ah, justice.)

This isn't Leidner's first run-in with the law. He was charged with aggravated assault in 2012 after he resisted arrest and attacked a Shrewsbury Police officer.

Hey James? You suck at being a criminal. Find something else to do.
