Razor Blades Found in Food at Jersey Shore Grocery Store
On a weekend when traffic is heavier than normal at the grocery stores, authorities are investigating food tampering at a Jersey Shore supermarket.
There have been two incidents reported at Best Market in the Homdel Commons on Route 35.
Razor blades have been found in sticks of Kerrygold butter at the store. The first incident happened on Jan. 20, the latest Jan. 27.
The Food and Drug Administration has been notified and all butter was removed from local stores.
Homdel Police are asking residents to report any similar food tampering to them at 732-946-4400 ext. 1713.
