New Source of Caffeine Could Be Dangerously Awesome
I was doing some grocery shopping the other day, when an interesting product caught my eye.

There's always been a bit of a running joke about Starbucks coffee...people say that consumers pay $5 a cup for the same brew that costs $1 down the street.
In reality, Starbucks regular brewed coffee is about $2 for a grande (medium) size. Until now.
I was looking at Center Court at Freehold Raceway Mall this past Friday morning during our live Black Friday show, and I decided to take a picture. It wasn't until later that I realized that I had captured a moment that can only happen in New Jersey.
Brace yourselves folks, this one is gonna hurt.
Tomorrow, September 29, is National Coffee Day (!) and lots of chains are celebrating with free coffee and new flavors.
I'll admit it. I like my coffee flavored. French Vanilla or Hazelnut, it doesn't matter. I like my coffee sweet. Got a problem with that? Nancy apparently does!
I love pumpkin-flavored goodies -- breads, scones, muffins, soups, and even pumpkin spice lattes (which, no, don't have any real pumpkin in them, just 'pumpkin spice' flavors which are basically cinnamon, clove, and allspice.)
Normally I'm pretty pumped for the first taste of orange-y goodness. Not this time.
By midday Friday we're all dragging and could all use a caffeine fix. This Friday, Starbucks is offering a free pick-me-up.
I'll preface this by saying that before my days at the Point, I was a Starbucks barista. Today, before the Kids' Breakfast at the Freehold Raceway Mall, I stopped to caffeine up...and after ordering my drink realized how much of a snob I must have sounded like.
So what did I order?
I'm starting to think I have a problem.
I crave it. When I don't have it, I turn into several of those famous dwarves: Grumpy, Sleepy, Dopey...and the lesser known Witchy. With a capital B.
What is this wonderous substance? Coffee. And I'm fresh out.
Coffee aficionados, listen up: there are more than a dozen off-the-menu drinks you can order at Starbucks. So, how does one partake of this “secret” menu? Easy. The trick is how you order and we can help.
