With each passing day, I get a little more upset that summer is winding down here at the Jersey shore. Then I stop and remind myself that our summer is just about to begin!

The Point Pleasant Beach Borough Council introduced an ordinance on Tuesday night that would restrict the sale of alcohol to midnight, unless licensed businesses pay an extra fee, which would allow them to sell until 2 a.m.
It's a measure meant to "maintain quality of life" but...it's a terrible idea.
We live in one of the coolest places around. It's a top tourist destination. People use their vacation time to come here, so we must be doing some amazing things with our weekends, right?
