A teenager pleaded guilty Thursday to vehicular homicide for causing a drunk-driving crash in which his car hit a tree and split in two, killing one passenger and severely injuring another.
  

Adam Sofio was driving more than 75 mph in a 25 mph zone in Middletown after drinking on Feb. 27, 2011.
  

Killed in the crash was his front seat passenger, 18-year-old Paul Bradley of Middletown. Another Middletown 18-year-old, rear seat passenger, John Vogel, was critically injured but survived.
  

Sofio’s blood alcohol content, measured two hours after the crash, was .314. The legal limit in New Jersey is .08.
  

Prosecutors will recommend a 6-year prison term when the 19-year-old Sofio is sentenced May 18.
