Some GREAT advice for you about your kids and their teeth!

Start your children early! You may think you know this, but do you know exactly how early to start taking your baby to a dentist?

Even with the great strides decay prevention has taken, one in four young children develops signs of tooth decay before they even start school!

Half of all children between the ages of 12 and 15 have cavities.

The great dentists at Atlantic Pediatric Dentistry, along with the American Dental Hygienists' Association, say that dental care should begin as soon as your child's first tooth appears, usually around SIX MONTHS old!

At six months old, teeth can be wiped with a clean, damp cloth or a very soft brush.

At about 2 years old, you can let your kids try brushing for themselves...although it's important that you supervise.
