Twitter Account Highlights Numerous Problems Ahead of Sochi Olympic Games
The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games start tomorrow night, and there is more and more evidence to suggest that the Russian host city is just not ready.
Journalists who have been there for several days report hotel rooms being unavailable…because they aren’t finished being built. They report that they don’t always have running water, and when they do, it’s yellow.
There have been pictures of doorknobs falling off, manholes left uncovered in the middle of sidewalks, and hotel employees spraying dirt to make it look like green grass.
It all collected on Twitter with the hashtag #Sochiproblems…which someone has since turned into a full-on Twitter account. And it’s unreal.

Then there’s all the tweets they’ve shared from others…

First bit of adversity here at #Sochi2014. Locked INSIDE my room on Thursday morning. Waiting for the cavalry to arrive.

I highly recommend giving it a look…
Hopefully the Games themselves will go smoothly…it’s only the whole world that’s watching!
