The Social Security Administration releases the most popular baby names each year, and the 2025 list is here. It's always fun to see what's trending for boys and girls.

You can usually tell pretty quickly which names are popular when your kids are little. Like when you're at the playground, call your child's name, and suddenly five other kids turn around, too.

Or sometimes it doesn't really hit you until kindergarten rolls around and there are a few kids in the same class with the same name.

For whatever reason, there are always certain names that seem to rise in popularity more than others. Sometimes it's a big movie with a character everyone loves, other times it's a local sports team making a big playoff fun, and suddenly people are naming their babies after the star player.

With teams like the Knicks, Sixers, and the Flyers all making playoff runs this year, maybe we'll start hearing some new baby names pop up.
