Senior Kody Besser scored on a free kick in the 21st minute and goalkeeper Ryan Fitzgerald made 13 saves to pick up his third shutout of the week as the Lions (10-0-1) edged the Mustangs (3-4-2) to remain unbeaten.

Toms River East 2, No. 9 Marlboro 1 (OT)

Junior Kajus Matazinskas scored two goals, including the golden goal in the second overtime to give the Raiders (7-3) a big win over the Mustangs (6-5).

Senior Alex Fischler scored the Marlboro goal and Toms River East freshman goalkeeper Bobby Calvo warded off a Marlboro shot storm by saving 15 shots.

Middletown North 2, Red Bank 1 (OT)

Senior Chris Jensen scored the golden goal in the 86th minute and the Lions (6-7) pulled out an overtime win over the Bucs (4-8-2) to keep their hopes of a Shore Conference Tournament berth alive.

Freshman Ryan Barnao flicked a free kick by senior Sam Calhoun with his head and Jensen ran onto it to knock it in and set off the celebration.

Middletown North grabbed the lead in the 43rd minute on a goal by sophomore Travis Soto, who tracked down a pass over the top of the last defender by sophomore Tommy Valinotti.

Red Bank tied the game in the 56th after a scrum in the box resulted in an own goal.

No. 8 Ocean 2, Manasquan 2

Senior Aidan Tisony scored the tying goal for Ocean in the 61st minute and the Spartans (8-4-1) scratched out a draw with the Warriors (5-5-4).

Senior Brian Miranda assisted the Tisony equalizer and also scored the first Ocean with with a long free kick in the 16th minute.

Sophomore Kevian Kraemer headed in a cross from senior Mike Cafiero to draw Manasquan even in the 22nd minute and the Warriors took the lead on a rip from close range by junior Braeden Chek off a pass from sophomore Luke Roy.

Colts Neck 4, Middletown South 2

Junior Jairo Chiro racked up a hat trick and the Cougars (4-6-1) stormed past the Eagles (2-8-1). Junior Brent Glantz also scored a goal for Colts Neck, which scored the first four goals of the game.

Alex Soto and Jack McCann scored the Middletown South goals.

Point Boro 4, Mater Dei Prep 0

Senior Charles Latendorf scored twice in the first 13 minutes and the Panthers (9-4) rolled to a win over the Seraphs (0-11). Sean Cleveland and Jared Drewes each added a goal in the second half to round out the scoring.

Shore 2, Spotswood 1 (OT)

Freshman Jadyn DeRosa scored the golden goal off a pass from senior J.C. Gutierrez in the 97th minute and the Blue Devils (8-3-1) authored their third straight overtime win.

Senior David Barham scored the game-tying goal in the 52nd minute to get Shore back in the game.

Allentown 2, No. 5 Manalapan 1 (OT)

Steve Cardona scored the golden goal in the 17th minute of overtime and the Redbirds (7-3-1) fought off the Braves (7-3-2).

Manalapan tied the game in the 32nd minute, when sophomore Tyler Pylarinos finished off a pass from junior Anthony Sarkisov.

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 5, St. Joseph Metuchen 0

Senior Herman Colbert scored two goals to go with one assists and senior Sean Keegan dished out three assists to lead the Patriots (9-2) to a rout of the Falcons (8-5-1).

Junior Tim Bertscha, freshman Joshua James and senior James Stanley each added a goal for Freehold Township.

New Brunswick 2, Jackson Memorial 1

Junior Ryan Polakowski kept Jackson Memorial alive with a penalty kick in the 76th minute, but it was too little, too late for the Jaguars (1-8-2) in a loss to the Zebras (5-5-1).

No. 2 Toms River North 3, South Brunswick 1

Senior Mattia Assante scored two goals and classmate Jimmy Ruppe added the other to help the Mariners (8-1) slide past the Vikings (1-11).

No. 1 CBA 1, East Brunswick 0

Sophomore Dimitry Corba scored off a cross from junior Will Thygeson in the 71st minute as the Colts (12-1) handed the Bears (9-1-2) their first loss of the season while running their winning streak to 10.
