A Big Addition to the Asbury Circle is Close

Navigating the Asbury Circle is a nightmare already. A new store is being proposed on the circle. Who's ready for more traffic?

This one is a head-scratcher. The Coaster is reporting that an Aldi grocery store is being pitched to take over the old Coca-Cola bottling plant property in Neptune.

According to The Coaster, Neptune Business Administrator Vito Gadaleta announced this week that Aldi is just one of three buildings set to go up at the site.

M&M Realty Partners has received a permit from the town to knock down the Coca-Cola building which has been vacant for years. Demolition could begin within the next few weeks.

Even though this spot is at the edge of the Asbury Circle, it will undoubtedly make traffic in the area more difficult.

Plus, if Aldi is indeed opening up, this would be the second location in Neptune. They are already on Route 35 near 33. Why the need for a second one?
