Hints On What Exciting Event Is Coming Up
Any guesses?
Alright, alright....one more really cute hint:
That's right....it is The Annual Fall Furfest & Halloween Pet Parade!
It is happening on Saturday, October 23rd from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and it is all thanks to the Southern Ocean County Animal Facility who is also hosting! Their official address is 360 Haywood Road in Manahawkin.
FYI: If you are in the parade, please arrive by 1:00 PM to register. The pet parade will officially kick off at 1:30 PM.
If you plan on attending, I would come up with the most creative costume for you and your pet that you can because prizes and ribbons are being given out to the best of the best!
Here are the different categories being awarded:

And of course, as a fellow rescuer myself, I have to tell you about the great work that the Ocean County Animal Facility does.
Their pets are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and receive age-appropriate vaccinations.
“We like to remind people that the event has always been more than just the costume parade. It’s also been a successful way to promote our animal facilities and all the wonderful cats and dogs we have available for adoption,” explained Brian Lippai, OCHD Public Information Officer. “If you’ve been seriously considering adopting a cat or dog then come out for the parade and stop in to visit all of our adorable animals looking for their forever home.”
If Manahawkin is a bit far, be aware that the Ocean County Health Department also has a second animal facility at 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson!
I adopted my dog Carolina and it was one of the best decisions I ever made to date.
Just look at that face.
So if you are on the fence, let me tell you that your furry rescue will be one of, if not the best friend you will ever have.
