A Great Opening Weekend For Jersey Shore Businesses

If you are a business owner at the Jersey Shore, you couldn't have ordered a better summer weekend weather wise to kick off our summer season.

Last year's s weather featured rain , or at least rain in the forecast, for 11 of the summer season weekends, and that had a large impact on the 2018 summer season for many local business owners.

And each rough weekend last summer just put that much more pressure on each weekend this year. So when you start the summer the way we just have, there is the opportunity to breathe a temporary sigh of relief.

And of course the great weekend brought with it the inevitable traffic nightmare on the Garden State Parkway, with a backup on Monday of over 20 miles on the Garden State Parkway North through Ocean & Monmouth Counties.

And now our attention turns to the forecast for the upcoming weekend. Here's the thing. it's way too early to lock in on the weekend forecast, but the early outlook is a positive one. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

We are rooting hard for great weekend weather through the summer for all of us, but especially for the local business owners, who are the heart and soul of our Jersey Shore!
