It’s back!  After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic the 43rd Annual Shore Sports Network All-Shore Gridiron Classic will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at Brick Township High School.  Presented by Jersey Mike’s the game matches recently graduated seniors from Monmouth County against their rivals from Ocean County.  It is a joint effort between the Shore Football Coaches Foundation and the Shore Sports Network.

Rosters are being assembled at this time with Middletown South’s legendary Steve Antonucci and Central’s Jarrett Pidgeon given the honors of serving as head coaches.  Antonucci led Monmouth County to a 28-21 victory in 2004.

The game was last played on July 12, 2019 at Long Branch and was delayed a day by thunderstorms.  Monmouth County won for the third straight year 21-6 behind quarterback Marc Dennis (Long Branch) and linebacker Da’Shon Taylor of Manalapan who took home game MVP honors for the winning team.  Ocean’s MVP’s were Brick’s Cole Groschel (offense) and Manchester’s Eric Cowan (defense).

With their 3-game winning streak Monmouth leads the overall series 23-18-1.
