American Idol Update: Shannon Magrane Goes Home

At this point in the competition, you wouldn't think an elimination on American Idol would be such a big deal, but it is and it's especially tough to get knocked out this week, since the person eliminated, Shannon Magrane, does not get to be part of the Idol tour. She sang well in her attempt to get saved by the judges, but they chose to pass. I was glad to see that Idol chose to put the Jermaine Jones story behind them. It seemed to me that on Wednesday's show they were leaving the door open to use the story to not eliminate someone this week. I'm glad they didn't do that. When they try that stuff, it always seems like a stunt to me. And wasn't it awesome to see Daughtry perform? Let's be honest, Chris Daughtry is one of the most liked and talented guys to step on the Idol stage and last night's performance was awesome!
